Technology was established in 1986 and from the very beginning the focus has been on
equipment
especially developed for the
dermatological marketplace to fulfill the need for dedicated
instrumentation within
Dermatology, cosmetics and pharmaceutical research worldwide.
We have specialized in a number of unique techniques developed
for relevant applications within
these specialties and materialized in four product
families :
DermaScan®
C: High resolution ultrasound scanners for skin
applications.
DermaLab®:
Instruments measuring barrier performance (TEWL), elasticity,
sebum and moisture.
DSM
II ColorMeter:
Optic instruments for measuring color, erythema and melanin.
CryoPro®:
State-of the-art cryosurgical units and accessories using liquid nitrogen.
As a leading
manufacturer of such devices we are dedicated to safety and high product quality.
Accordingly,
all products are manufactured and tested in accordance with current quality
and safety standards. In 2007, we were
ISO 13485 certified for the production of cryosurgical instrumentation,
and our products are
CE-marked and FDA 510(k) approved as appropriate.
Due to
increased activities within the field of equipment for aesthetical
treatments, Cortex Technology DE
surfaced in 2008 as a division specifically handling the distribution of
instrumentation for this market and with
particular focus on the German and Danish marketplace. Currently, the
product portfolio includes
highly recognized instruments for non-invasive body contouring and
facial toning.
Cortex
Technology is based in modern facilities in Hadsund,
Denmark, which
are located in an area surrounded by highly skilled sub-contractors thus
facilitating the production of
specialized and customized parts in close cooperation with
our suppliers.
Also located here is the central sales and marketing department, which controls a
German sales
office and distributor activities in 25 countries.
